Lunch with a Friend

I wore this out the other day for lunch with a friend. We used to hang out all the time but lately shes been being a grown up and handling the daily grind that comes with owning your own business+traveling. Shes a real go-getter. Yep, Im talking about our pal Deon :) She promises to be back to break up the monotony of seeing me day in and day out on this blog of ours...She'll be back soon.

TTO: My Daughters Suitcase



Remember this suitcase? I used to want one sooooo badly when I was younger. Nevermind that you really couldnt fit anything into it. Well I recently found one while thrifting and snatched it up for .50 cents. When my daughter takes her first roadtrip to Sweetie and Grandpats house she'll be prepared :)

Bye Bye Cable...

" The cable is GONE!" Thats what my son said to me this morning. Not "good morning mother" or "im hungry" but "The cable is GONE!" Yup, we disconnected the idiot box this past weekend. I think its safe to say that we had cable just because youre supposed to have it. I mean, whats the point of having cable, internet and netflix at the same time. Perhaps we'll try the Roku box or something like that. Have any of you tried it?

Anywho, since theres no tv to watch, we're heading out side to enjoy the 1000 degree weather!

Lately Ive been having a hard time finding clothes to wear. It seems as though my house eats all my stuff! The remedy for this: WASH CLOTHES!!!! Yes, its sad when you cant find things you own because you own soooo much.  I mean I had so much to choose from this morning that I was actually early to work  :)

So if I start complaining to you all about how I have nothing to wear, remind me to do my laundry!

200th Post! (Photo Bonanza)

Today has been a full of happiness for me. It started off with a bit of toe painting. Uninterrupted.
Then around 9 am I hit my fave thrift shop and picked up a few new scarves and this brilliant feathered ditty!
  Isnt it just gorgeous. I drooled and drooled when I saw it 3 weeks ago but the shop owner was unsure how much he wanted to sell it for...Well, he let it go for a mere $5! He said he knew i'd wear it and wear it I shall!
A word of advice for my fellow thrifters: Get to know your thrift store owner/sales people. They will be fair with you and will sometimes set things to the side knowing you'll love/cherish a particular piece.

Anywho, after that I headed back home to play with my new goodies. Little did I know that I would pick up 2 more surprises! My darling husband purchased this wide angle lens attachment for my camera!!!!! Hooray for thoughtful significant others :)

Yup, this was the best day ever...I guess its been a lucky day since this is our 200th post! Thanks so much for following, leaving comments and just being our internet pals :)

Muu Muu Time

As you can see, I was having a little fun playing dress-up in Mrs. Ropers closet! I bought this dress about a year ago with the intention of cutting it a little above knee length but I never got around to it. Today I was being lazy and decided to MuuMuu about the house. The shoes were thrown in when I had to run a quick errand.

Independence!!!!

So, Today is the official start of our vacation!!!
This weekend we were in Raleigh, NC for my husbands best friends wedding. It was a beautiful yet warm day(who am I fooling, it was hot as h.e.l.l.). The wedding was amazing and they even had a veggie menu option just for us... they are the best.

So, this morning we are driving from Raleigh to Atlanta... You know this trip would not be possible without our favorite driving companions... Mr. 5 Hour and Little Miss Starbucks.
I am totally looking forward to hanging out for the 4th of July with girl Alinka from Linkaliving while in Atlanta. She used to live in Huntsville and I have not seen her and her husband since before their son was born and now their child is walking (smh)... You guys have to check out her blog... she is amazing!!!


Tomorrow we fly out of Atlanta to the Beautiful island of Puerto Rico.
Hubby and I have not been on vacation out of the county since... well since NEVER! We have not been on a real vacation together and we have been together since 2001!!! (once again SMH!) we will be gone until the 13th of July... I plan on spending half my time sleeping... thats right!!! I am going all the way to Puerto Rico just to rest.
